Elizabeth Matteson (She/Her/Hers), Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW), is a dedicated to providing compassionate, person-centered therapy with a holistic approach. She earned her master’s degree from Spring Arbor University in 2023 and is currently gaining supervised clinical experience toward full licensure.
Elizabeth approaches therapy with a down-to-earth style, rooted in kindness and compassion. She specializes in helping individuals navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, mood disorders, narcissistic abuse, addiction struggles, grief/loss, and major life transitions. Drawing from evidence-based practices, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), she offers practical strategies to empower clients to break through barriers and achieve their goals. She also integrates mindfulness and solution-focused strategies to promote healing and personal growth.
With extensive experience across diverse clinical settings, including child and adult protective services, skilled nursing facilities, and outpatient therapy services, she values real conversations and a goal-oriented approach. In her current role at 3 C’s Counseling, she provides psychotherapy to adolescents and adults. She is passionate about guiding people toward lasting personal and professional growth, helping clients not only gain insight but also build the skills they need to thrive long after therapy ends.
Elizabeth is deeply committed to promoting overall well-being, guided by core social work values of service, social justice, the dignity and worth of the person, the importance of human relationships, integrity, and competence. She believes in the power of creativity and connection as essential components of well-being.
