Lara holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Oakland University and a Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of Detroit Mercy, specializing in Addiction Studies. She has worked in various clinical settings, including as a Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist, a counselor for the severely mentally ill, and within private clinics. Lara’s therapeutic approach incorporates Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which helps clients develop coping strategies, self-awareness, and the skills necessary to achieve lasting change. She treats every client as an equal, ensuring a comfortable and respectful environment where individuals can be their authentic selves. A proud mother of twin girls and a dedicated wife, when she’s not working, Lara values spending quality time with her family.
