Sara Schwartz (She/Her/Hers), Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Neuropsychotherapy Certified, is the dedicated owner of 3Cs Counseling Center. With experience in both community mental health and private practice, she brings a compassionate and person-centered approach to therapy. Widely recognized for her diagnostic and crisis deescalation skills, Sara specializes in treating a range of mental health concerns, including narcissistic abuse, trauma/traumatic loss, PTSD, process and substance addictions, anxiety, depression, and more. Her time working in the community with vulnerable children and adults has given her deep insight into the complexities of severe emotional disturbances, co-occurring disorders, and systemic barriers. She is passionate about creating a safe space where her clients can explore their struggles, break free from toxic cycles, develop everyday coping skills, and work toward lasting healing.

Sara often incorporates into her care model Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodynamic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Schematic Therapy and Attachment-Based Therapy, with an individual needs-based lens. She is committed to helping individuals identify, and release themselves from, negative, self-sabotaging patterns that tend to persist over the lifetime, strengthen their interpersonal relationships, and navigate significant life challenges at their own pace. Whether a client seeks to reframe self-defeating thoughts, replace unhealthy behaviors, or simply gain more insight and clarity, Sara meets them where they are, empowering them every step of the way.

Sara is also a substance use expert witness for court cases nationwide and has held a career in media arts for more than two decades. She is an award-winning mental health speaker and writer, an avid spectator at her kids’ sporting events, a home gardener who loves country living, and a strong advocate who believes in prioritizing R&R.
